Herons’ Defense Named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week
Vyve Broadband Salutes Brantley County Players For Outstanding Play
The entire Brantley County defensive unit was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for their outstanding play in the Herons’ loss to Jeff Davis Friday night.
Although the team lost a close one, the Herons’ defense held the high-scoring and unbeaten Yellowjackets 34 points below their season average. This was the first single touchdown home score since 1982 and the third overall in the 50th year of the program.

Cougars’ Carson Thompson Named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week
Vyve Broadband Salutes Canadian Quarterback For Outstanding Play
Canadian senior quarterback Carson Thompson was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for his outstanding play in the Cougars’ 52-6 win over Keota Friday night.
Thompson was all over the field in the team’s win. He had 61 yards in the air and with one passing touchdown, 144 yards on the ground with two rushing touchdowns, 50 receiving yards and a touchdown reception, along with a kick return touchdown for 85 yards.

Vyve Broadband Salutes Claiborne Quarterback For Outstanding Play
Claiborne junior quarterback Eli Stone was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for his outstanding play in the Bulldogs’ 54-28 win over Unaka Friday night.
Stone went a perfect 6 out of 6 for 119 yards passing and two touchdowns. He also added 122 yards on the ground and two more rushing touchdowns, all while kicking extra points and kickoffs as well.

Vyve Broadband Salutes Coffee Running Back For Outstanding Play
Coffee senior running back Antonio Dawson was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for his outstanding play in the Trojans’ 56-0 win over Taravella Friday night.
Dawson led the Trojans with three carries for 16 yards, three receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown.

Dumas senior defensive tackle and tight end Demarlon Randolph was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for his outstanding play in the Bobcats’ loss to McGehee Friday night.
Randolph led the Bobcats on the defensive side of the ball with 12 total tackles, four of which were for a loss with two sacks.

Guymon sophomore lineman Michael Medina was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for his outstanding play in the Tigers’ loss to Stratford Friday night.
Medina was in on multiple tackles throughout the night and doubled as the team’s punter, pinning Stratford back with several long kicks.

McGehee senior running back Caleb Woodson was named Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week for his outstanding play in the Owls’ 28-6 win over Dumas Friday night.
Woodson had three touchdowns in the win over the Owls’ county rival in the Ag Bowl.
