Vyve Broadband Seeks Nominations for Teacher of the Month

Program Kicks Off for 2017-18 School Year to Recognize Outstanding Contributions from Area Teachers in New Boston, DeKalb, Hooks, Maud

As students in Bowie County settle into their new school year, many are discovering their new favorite teachers. Vyve Broadband wants to recognize the great teachers in the area, and wants the community to tell them how special their teachers are.

The Vyve Broadband Teacher of the Month Program began last spring by inviting the residents in four Bowie County towns to nominate the incredible teachers that inspire students inside and outside of the classroom. Hundreds of nominations and votes were cast, and twelve special teachers were recognized.

“We were thrilled to get to know about these special teachers and their stories, and we can’t wait to meet even more this year. We love hearing about the unique styles of teaching they are bringing into the classroom, about the extra mile they go to provide support at home, even how much the extra hugs mean to a student having a rough day. They are making such a difference in their community, and we believe it’s so important to share their stories,” said Diane Quennoz, Senior Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience at Vyve.

Every month for the next nine months, residents in New Boston, DeKalb, Hooks and Maud are encouraged to visit www.vyvebroadband.com/teacher or www.facebook.com/vyvebroadband to nominate their teacher, and to vote for who should be the teacher of the month. Teachers from any public school in these four towns are eligible, Pre-K through High School.

The Vyve Teacher of the Month will be presented each month to teachers who have proven to be champions of the classroom and stewards of their community through their teaching, mentoring and leadership. They will receive a Golden Apple trophy and entered to win an iPad for their classroom.

“Every one of us can name at least one teacher, if not many, that made a difference in our life for great teaching. We hope this program continues to inspire people to say thank you to their favorite teachers, to share great stories, and maybe even inspire the next generation of great educators,” said Quennoz. “There is always room for more!”

Award Reconizes Vyve’s “IncREDible Sale” as Top Integrated Marketing Campaign for Provider with Over 50,000 Subscribers

Vyve Broadband took home one of the top awards at the prestigious Mid-America Cable Show Awards Dinner on September 14th. Recognizing their “IncREDible Sale,” which ran from January through March of 2017, Vyve was awarded a MIDI for Top Marketing and
Promotions Campaign for a provider with over 50,000 subscribers.

The category awards excellence in full marketing campaigns consisting of print, video, digital, social, or radio executions. The Mid-America Cable Telecommunications Association (MACTA) looks for unique and effective approaches to marketing and promotions of any consumer-facing product or service.

Vyve’s IncREDible Sale put a fresh twist on the iconic ‘red tag sale’ approach, which is frequently associated with sales and savings. The sale drove urgency and excitement around aggressively priced standalone Internet services and value-packed Triple Play bundled offerings through fun graphic design and cheeky copy across channels and markets, to prospects and customers alike. “We are thrilled to receive a MIDI Award for our IncREDible Sale. Just as we look to bring cutting-edge technology to our customers, we also look for cutting-edge approaches to marketing and telling our story,” said Diane Quennoz, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience for Vyve, who was on hand to receive the award.

MACTA is an industry association formed to help telecommunications providers in the Midwest promote technical excellence, superior customer service, exemplary marketing, and student scholarship. The MIDI Awards are hosted each year to support and honor their membership.

Vyve Broadband Aims to Make Community Kindness A Key Service Offering

“Random Acts of Vyveness” Connects Vyve Employees with Community Needs

Communities across eight states are starting to notice a little more kindness in their every day, as Vyve Broadband commits to spreading cheer through a new initiative called “Random Acts of Vyveness”.

Vyve’s goal is not only to bring next-generation technology services to non-urban areas, but also provide a commitment to community that can only come from living local. As a technology provider, Vyve is in the critical position of connecting neighbors and businesses to each other and the outside world. That’s why Vyve has made it a core principle to give back to the markets they serve.

“As a company, we really feel like we’re powering the community. We’re in the schools, local businesses, neighborhoods, city hall – our goal is to offer the best service for everyone in the community to connect and thrive,” said Diane Quennoz, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience at Vyve.

Vyve’s commitment to rural communities starts with employing locally to offer the best and fastest service to business and residential customers. Vyve sales reps, installers, and tech support are all in unique positions of being neighbors in the communities they serve. They often see or hear of needs around town.

Vyve created “Random Acts of Vyveness” to encourage these employees across their service areas to identify opportunities to go above and beyond to make someone’s day – it’s what good neighbors do.

“Every day we are out and about, implementing Vyve service and getting to know more about our neighbors.  We see so many opportunities for Vyve to create a little more kindness in the community. Whether it’s a school need, serving the seniors, supporting a hometown team, or even just a kind word, we’re looking for every opportunity to give back. That has become one of our guiding principles – to make kindness a key service offering,” said Quennoz.

Vyve is also looking to create acts of kindness in the form of fun activities to bring the community together. One of the first official “acts” took place in Shawnee, OK by welcoming the entire community to meet Vyve outside of the Shawnee Splash Waterpark for free snow cones, prizes, and family fun activites. Over 500 snow cones were given out at the event, with yellow-clad volunteers around to meet their neighbors.

Similar events are planned in other Vyve communities, as well as the Vyve’s ongoing commitment to school programs including Teacher of the Month and Friday Night Vyve Player of the Week, honoring local student athletes. They will also soon launch their 3rd Annual Create Our Christmas Card Art Contest with local schools, and support students who participate in the C-SPAN Student Cam contest.

To kick-off the school year and support its “Random Acts of Vyveness”, Vyve area managers visited local schools across their core service areas, delivering coffee and donuts to teachers lounges. Many Random Acts of Vyveness are being shared on Vyve’s Facebook page, like technician Johnnie who recently made one customer’s day by washing her dog after it had escaped the yard – moments like these happen often at Vyve because employees are naturally connected to their neighbors.

“Having the best possible product for our customers is our top priority, but we want to show our communities that our investment goes beyond technology. Vyve truly cares about where they live and work, and we’re proud to be a part of their growth,” said Vyve CEO Jeffrey DeMond.
