Vyve Broadband affirms commitment to Net Neutrality as final FCC vote approaches

The Federal Communications Commission is set to vote on Net Neutrality this Thursday, December 12th and Vyve supports FCC Chairman Ajit Pai’s proposal to reverse the FCC’s 2015 ruling. Vyve is committed to Net Neutrality and has always delivered an open Internet experience to its customers.

The FCC’s 2015 ruling classified Internet Service Providers as common carriers subject to utility-style regulation under Title II of the Communications Act.

Vyve believes that Internet Service Providers should treat all data on the Internet the same regardless of the source. Vyve does not block or throttle any consumer access to lawful Internet content. Vyve also does not resell consumer data without consent or use it for marketing purposes.

Vyve is dedicated to delivering its goal to bring next-generation technology services to nonurban areas, and lighter regulations help make that possible, which is another reason why Vyve supports Chairman Pai’s proposal.

“We are proud to continue investing in our networks to give our customers the Internet speeds, capacity and services they want and need most” said Jeffrey DeMond, chief executive officer for Vyve Broadband. “A free and open Internet allows us to do so. We want to show our support and spread awareness about this very important topic in our industry.”

Vyve’s 3rd Annual Christmas Card Art Contest Spreads Holiday Cheer Throughout All Vyve Communities

Eleven-Year Old’s Design Chosen As Official Vyve Christmas Card From Over 1,000 Entries

Vyve’s Annual Christmas Card Contest was a huge hit for the third year in a row. With over 1,000 entries from all eight Vyve services area states, this year’s contest entries surpassed all expectations.

After a long and throughout judging process, the Vyve team decided on a clear winner. Eleven-year old Dana Jordan from Broxton Mary Hayes Elementary School in Broxton, GA. Jordan’s drawing of a peacefully praying angel will be featured on Vyve’s Official Christmas Card and will be distributed to over 200,000 households throughout the country. Jordan will win an iPad mini for herself, $200 in art supplies for her school and a school-wide cookies and cocoa party.

The award winning community relations program has become much more than a brand initiative for the company. The program brings communities together and give kids the opportunity to share what Christmas Spirit means to them. The Vyve team looks forward to this contest all year.

“Certainly from an integrated branding perspective it has been hugely successful,” said Jeffrey DeMond, chief executive officer for Vyve Broadband. “But as the campaign has grown organically from company-to-community and back, it has shown how deeply we are engaged with our communities, and how much we care about our communities. At the end of the day, it makes everyone in our company and our communities feel good.”

Kid’s ages 3-12 year old who live in a Vyve market are eligible to enter to design a card that describes what Christmas Spirit means to them. The program is promoted throughout Vyve markets including schools, libraries, churches, social media and chambers of commerce.

Jordan’s winning design was sent to Hallmark Business Connections who will produce Vyve’s official 2017 Christmas Card.

Vyve Broadband Announces Launch of 200 Megabit-per-second Broadband Service in Ottawa

‘Vyve 200’ Affirms Company’s Commitment to Broadband Adoption in Rural Markets, Increases Business Speeds to 250 Megabits-per-second

Vyve Broadband’s mission is to provide rural communities with world-class broadband Internet service that levels the playing field. Today, Vyve has taken the next step in that mission with the launch of 200 Mbps Internet service to residential customers in the Ottawa market.

The local Vyve team recently completed successful testing of 200 Mbps service, and it is now available to local residents in Ottawa, which increases their fastest Internet speeds by nearly two times. Residents with multiple connected devices such as smartphones, tablets, computers, TVs and gaming systems will be able to run their devices concurrently without interruption.

Local businesses will also experience a significant boost in their Internet capabilities, with the addition of a blazing fast 250 Mbps Internet service. By offering the fastest internet speed in the area, Vyve serves as a partner to businesses advancing the Ottawa economy.

“We are excited to add Ottawa to our growing list of 200 Mbps markets,” said Jeffrey DeMond, chief executive officer for Vyve Broadband. “‘Vyve 200’ will be a key product for certain residential customers who have unique needs, such as people who work from home or those using graphics-heavy gaming and visual design software. Now they will have the bandwidth they need to be connected.”

“It’s clear that the online technology, information and entertainment landscape is evolving on an almost daily basis. What’s incredibly fast today will be the norm tomorrow,” DeMond says. “Vyve is building the network now that our customers will want and demand in the future. We’re committed to long-term relationships with our customers, and part of that commitment is looking not only at their current needs, but what their needs will be several years down the road.”

This upgraded service represents another milestone in the ongoing drive by Vyve to provide cutting-edge broadband speeds in rural markets that have traditionally lagged behind in technology offerings. Vyve investments since the company launched in late 2013 have more than doubled the average speed for existing customers. Vyve is already offering ‘Vyve Gig’ (1,000 Megabits) in select markets and is currently testing in many more.

“We are excited to add Wheatland to our growing list of 200 Mbps markets,” said Jeffrey DeMond, chief executive officer for Vyve Broadband.

Residential customers who are interested in ‘Vyve 200’ service, or businesses interested in upgrading to 250 Mbps service can call 1-855-FOR-VYVE.

Vyve Broadband asking, “Is your Internet Cyber-Shopping ready?”

Online shopping this holiday season is expected to set records. More and more, people are shifting online to the digital space for door-buster savings rather than lining up at the big box stores early Black Friday morning. With the increased demand online, Vyve Broadband is reminding people how important it is to have a fast and reliable Internet connection to be sure you don’t miss out on those limited-availability online shopping deals.

“No one wants to see the dreaded page load bar creeping along when they’re trying to checkout with an item that said ‘2 left at this price’,” said Diane Quennoz, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience at Vyve.

Vyve’s solution? A Pre-Cyber Week Internet Sale on one of their fastest speeds to equip customers for the online shopping frenzy. From November 13th through Cyber Monday, Vyve will deeply discount their 105 megabit-per-second Internet service to just $39.99 per month, a savings of 64%. For full details, visit VyveBroadband.com/CyberMonday.

“It’s critical to have the speed that enables you to get to the front of the line online” added Quennoz. “Our incredibly fast 105Meg Internet product will definitely give you an edge this Cyber Week. Just make sure you get connected in time and don’t miss out on this offer!”

Vyve offers 4-hour installation windows, competitive pricing without contracts or early termination fees, and local service from people who live and work in the communities they serve.

“We’re committed to delivering a fast, affordable and reliable product to our local communities,” said Jeffrey DeMond, chief executive officer of Vyve Broadband. “Given the importance of a high-quality Internet connection to online shopping, we thought this sale would be a fantastic way to get one of our premium speed offerings into peoples’ homes to drive an improved shopping experience this holiday season.”

VYVE BROADBAND CELEBRATES OUR TROOPS ON VETERANS DAY AND EVERY DAY

Vyve Broadband Cares about Veterans in the Community and in the Workplace

In celebration of Veterans Day on November 11th, and in honor of veterans throughout the year, Vyve Broadband is committed to supporting our troops through local VFW chapters (Veterans of Foreign Wars), as well as providing employment to those who have served.

Vyve has shown its support with donations to local VFW Chapters. These donations have supported programs that ensure the funds stay in the local communities where veteran assistance is needed most. As an organization, the VFW advocates for veterans’ rights and provides a place for them to join together in a spirit of mutual support and patriotism.

As part of its company culture, Vyve Broadband strives to maintain close relationships with the communities it serves. Vyve has been committed to a U.S.-based workforce, with more than 10% of its current workforce being veterans, and is proud to have these brave men and women on board to help serve within our communities. Vyve has participated with Mission Media in an on-going veteran recruitment effort to further build on this number for the past two years.

“We want our veterans to know how much we appreciate their service” said Jeffrey DeMond, chief executive officer of Vyve Broadband. “It makes sense to hire veterans within the communities that Vyve services. Our veterans have served our country and we value their skills and work ethic. We’re honored to bring those skills to our local communities to help serve our customers.”

Vyve is currently asking all employee veterans to come forward to ensure that records are up to date so that they can be recognized for the honor they have earned. As part of a communication effort to reach veterans, Vyve will be launching an internal companywide program to thank its veteran employees, and a social media and PR effort to thank all veterans.
